ABOUT US

The Poker Federation of Singapore (PFS) was established on March 17, 2009, under the Societies Act of Singapore, with the vision of transforming poker into a recognized mind sport in Singapore and beyond. Formerly known as the Asian Poker Foundation, PFS has evolved into the official governing body for poker in Singapore, dedicated to fostering a community that values skill, strategy, and sportsmanship.

To promote poker as a healthy, skill-based sport in Singapore.
To provide a platform for players of all levels to compete, learn, and grow.
To represent Singapore in international poker tournaments and competitions.
To foster a community that values integrity, sportsmanship, and fair play.
To use poker as a platform for philanthropy, supporting underprivileged communities through charity events.

WHY POKER IS A SPORT

Poker is a game of skill, strategy, and mental agility. Recognized by IMSA and IFMP, poker is now part of the global mind sports movement, alongside chess, bridge, and Go. Here’s why poker deserves its place as a sport:

SINGAPORE'S REPRESENTATION IN INTERNATIONAL POKER

As a member of the IFMP, the Poker Federation of Singapore is proud to represent the nation in global poker events. Our players compete in prestigious tournaments such as the Nations Cup and the World Championship of Match Poker, showcasing Singapore’s talent on the international stage.

We aim to:

– Develop a strong national poker team.

– Host international poker events in Singapore.

– Build partnerships with global poker organizations to grow the sport locally.
